Hi everybody!
Welcome to the very first ever "blog" about the new
gift and stationery store in Lake Highlands!Ever since we let the cat out of the bag about our new store we have been overwhelmed with emails and phone calls from our Lake Highlands and East Dallas neighbors - it has been terrific! This outpour is one of the key reasons we chose to open our store in Lake Highlands - it's because of the wonderful people and the neighborhood spirit that simply does not exist anymore in any other part of Dallas or many other cities for that matter.
Neither of us has ever "blogged" before so please bear with us. We've had so many questions we wanted to provide a forum for y'all to ask questions and for us to give you a sneak peek into the new world of T. Hee Gifts!
As many of you know we currently have a wholesale business that sells imprinted cups, Hip & Groovy Clipboards, hand crafted gift bags and now a greeting card line. (check it out at http://www.t-heegreetings.com/) We will be moving that business (known as "the studio") to the back part of our new space with the retail store in the front portion.
This photo shows the first day of demolition in the retail space - look how big it is with all those little walls gone! We LOVE the windows and can't wait to fill them with all our goodies.We spent the day today taking down shelving from Linens & Things to use in the studio - what a mess! But we feel better about re-using than allowing good shelving to go to the landfill.

Welcome to the neighborhood! Lake Highlands desperately needs good retail stores... so come on, neighbors... let's stop at T-Hee before we go to Target and Walmart, ok????

Congrats guys you are in a great community and I know they will support you. The local crime watch and VIP(volunteers In patrol) groups are very solid & strong there and i know will be on the look out for you and your patrons. I am sure they will keep eyes, ears alert as well as a few patrols by the store. You could not be in a better location, Happy retail to you! Welcome, welcome welcome!!!!!
